Jalodhar Nashak mudra - jal shamak mudra

jalodhar nashak mudra is used if there is an excess amount of water element  in the body. Jal means water, udar means stomach, jalodar nashak means removal and balancing of excess water from your abdomen.

Mudras are hand gestures that balance the five elements called the panchabooth (fire, earth, water, air, and space) in our body. Mudras help in balancing the three doshas in the body called the vatha, pittha, and the Kapha doshas.



How to perform this mudra:

step 1: sit in a comfortable place with your back straight. vajrasana or padmasana is the best when practicing mudras.


step 2: bring the tip of your little finger to the base of the thumb finger.


step 3: slightly press the little finger with your thumb finger.

These mudras can be performed at any point of time in a day. one has to start by holding this mudra for 5 minutes and can be stretched up to 45 minutes a day.
